Join the YPAL Public Issues committee for a day in Frankfort! We will have multiple activities throughout the day, including a tour of the Capitol, special access to a legislative session, and an evening cocktail reception with legislators.
You must register for the event so we can give a final count for the tour and gallery passes; however, you do not have to stay the entire day. A carpool will leave Louisville at 12:30 PM for those who are interested.
Updated schedule:
11:30am - meet at Panera Bread on Dutchmans Lane for lunch before carpool
12:15pm - carpool departs Panera for Frankfort
1:15pm - meet on front steps of Capitol building (NOT the rotunda)
1:30pm - tour of the Capitol
2:15pm - special gallery access to the Senate legislative session
3:00pm - tour at the History Center (100 W. Broadway)
4:15pm - special session with Bryan Sunderland, Director of Public Affairs for the KY Chamber of Commerce, at Serafini
5:30pm - reception with legislators at Serafini (243 W. Broadway) - ends at 8pm
