Community
The Special Olympics offers an opportunity for hands-on involvement with special-needs individuals. YPAL heads up the sub-committee for the State Regionals held in Louisville and organizes volunteers for the Opening Ceremonies. YPAL also plays and integral role in overseeing the track and field games as well as the event’s decorations and themes.
Salvation Army Angel Tree and Distribution Day is designed to ensure that local children receive clothing and toys for the holidays. YPAL has volunteers who help distribute gifts during two days over the holidays, and the event is always well attended by our membership
Diversity
Diversity Speaker/Panel is designed to present facets of diversity and their value to our personal and professional lives.
Membership
YPAL 101 is a quarterly member meeting held to help our membership – new and established – learn more about YPAL.
Ignite Louisville works closely with YPAL to help our organization improve leadership and business. The program is co-sponsored by the Leadership Louisville Center.
Networking
Speed Networking is set up in the traditional "speed dating-style,” but rather than trying to help you secure a date for Friday night, it’s designed to help you build professional contacts.
Public Issues
The City Talk series is a venue for members to talk directly with business and community leaders about various public issues affecting the region’s future.
Get Out The Vote is a program designed to encourage young professionals to vote and meet local government leaders.
Advocacy is always encouraged among YPAL membership. We want to be involved in public issues.
Social Involvement
Our annual YParty dinner comprises an awards ceremony and summation of the year's events. It’s YPAL’s biggest event of the year!
The Martini Party offers a mix and mingle with no agenda, other than to meet new people and have a great time.
