YPAL is excited to announce our 2023 YPAL Award Winners! Meet Erica Holloway-McDaniel. Erica was nominated by peers for connecting, engaging, and developing in our community and was recognized among more than 265 nominees.
Erica Holloway-McDaniel is a service-minded professional dedicated to social responsibility and talent cultivation. Her career has been marked by a strong dedication to promoting equity, social justice, and education through her investment in people and community. She has made significant contributions to her community through various means, including teaching, advising, program development, mentorship, and more. Her driving passion is to empower individuals to achieve their full potential.
Erica has a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Education from Arizona State University. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Organizational Development from the University of Louisville. Outside of her professional job as director of the Cardinal Bridge Academy at the University of Lousiville, Erica is an active volunteer with several non-profits throughout the Louisville community, and she serves on various boards and advisory councils. While she is proud to be a community servant, her most prestigious and notable role is that of wife and mother. She loves her family and strives to put them first in all that she does.
