YPAL is proud to announce our 2024 YPAL Award Winners! Meet Peyton Brock. Peyton was nominated by peers for connecting, engaging and developing in our community and was recognized among more than 200 nominees.

Peyton Brock is a Kentucky native with roots in Laurel County. As an “eternal colonel” of Eastern Kentucky University, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science and a Masters in Public Health in Health Promotion. Peyton found her home in Louisville after moving for work. Joining the Oldham County Health Department in July 2022 as Epidemiologist, Peyton’s dedication led to her rise to the senior leadership team, now serving as the Performance Management Director. In this multifaceted role, she spearheads infectious and community epidemiology efforts, leads strategic planning, and provides oversight for OCHD’s pursuit of PHAB Initial Accreditation.

Peyton is deeply involved in community initiatives, including serving as an advisor for YLOC, a youth-led mental health advocacy and substance misuse prevention coalition. Her contributions extend to the Healthy Oldham County Coalition and the Healthcare Emergency Response & Advisory Coalition Executive Committee, where she represents public health interests.

Peyton’s passion for public health ignited during a transformative internship in Thailand in 2019. Active in the Young Professionals Association of Louisville since her move, she’s concluding her first term as an Ambassador and plans to continue her involvement in the program. Recognized for her dedication and excellence, Peyton has received numerous accolades, including the Jane Boyer Distinguished Service Award, Oldham County 20 Under 40, and the OCHD G.E.M. Award. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and savoring Louisville’s vibrant coffee scene.”
