You have spoken and we have listened! Every year, during our annual survey, our members ask for more professional developent opportunities. Louisville’s YPs are not only interested in networking and civic engagement but also in how they can hone their professional skills to maximize success.

To that end, YPAL is thrilled to announce the launch of our quarterly professional development workshop series – Excelerate. The first of this series – “Generational Differences in the Workplace: Bridging the Gap”.

By 2020, Millennials will comprise over 50% of the workforce, and the Louisville business community must be ready to adapt to the coming changes.  During this Excelerate workshop, participants will receive practical training and engage in hands-on practice to build their professional skills and improve cooperation between Millennials, Baby Boomers, and Generation Xers. The skills taught will help any young professional, whether they face generational differences within their own team or as they interact with clients.

Attendees will be trained to:
• Understand and overcome generational stereotypes
• Improve communication between generations
• Navigate conflict
• Manage “up”

We are excited to have Cara Silletto as our keynote speaker and facilitator!
• Crescendo Strategies founder Cara Silletto, MBA, has more than 12 years of experience helping people and businesses grow. As a national speaker and author addressing today’s unique workforce issues, Cara works with business owners, managers and young professionals to bridge the widening gaps among the diverse population at the office and make managers more effective in their roles.

Excel in your career and join us at Excelerate on March 22nd!  We will also be announcing additional speakers in advance of the event.
