Meet this month’s Featured YPAL Member, Prentice James Blue!

-What is your day job? I am a Digital Marketing Specialist at Confluent Health.

-What is the best part of your job? The best part of my job is that I get to learn from and interact with professionals who work in different areas of marketing.

-How are you managing social distancing? I’m managing very well. I’ve been tested multiple times and I’ve tested negative every time.

-How are you staying in touch with family and friends during this time? Any advice? I’ve been making sure to call my mother every week and text my siblings as much as I can. My advice would be stay connected to your family because we lose people unexpectedly everyday.

-Why did you join YPAL? I was referred to YPAL by Betsy Appleton who is a board member.

-Book recommendation? The Alchemist

-What makes Louisville weird? The diversity of people that you can meet and the diversity of food that you can eat in this city don’t necessarily make it weird but makes it really cool.

-Favorite restaurant in Louisville? (or fav carry out right now?) Panchitos Ice Cream on Bardstown Rd is underappreciated.

-What is the best career advice you have received? The best career advice I’ve ever gotten is to always climb the rough side of the mountain and to weather the storm.

-If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Mediterranean food. It’s healthy and delicious.

-Coolest place you have ever traveled? Portland, Oregon had to be the coolest place I’ve ever been. The slogan there is “keep Portland weird”.

-What were doing before your internship? I was a student-athlete at THE University of Louisville. I played football and I recently graduated in December of 2019.
