-What is your day job?
I am a wedding planner and designer, I also have wellness company and independent, licensed Zumba instructor!
-What is the best part of your job?
Being able to help people win in their health journeys and taking the stress out of planning weddings for my clients.
-How are you managing social distancing?
I have gone virtual! My wellness company allows me to work anywhere and I am still teaching virtual classes. With weddings and travel it is a little more difficult but I am streaming weddings and doing whatever I need to do. Most people really want to get out of the house so I expect travel to pick up a lot soon!
-How are you staying in touch with family and friends during this time? Any advice?
Some family we never stopped seeing but I am extra thankful for social media and Facetime. I think I have used it more than ever with this pandemic.
-Why did you join YPAL?
I wanted to meet business-minded and other like-minded young professionals to not only network with but also develop new friendships.
-Why did you choose Louisville?
I am a Louisville native and actually did not have plans to come back after graduation. But it is funny, I have heard that “Louisville has a way of bringing you back,” and that could not be truer.
-Book recommendation?
Millennial Kingdom Entrepreneur by Odell Palacio and E-Myth by Michael Gerber
-What makes Louisville weird?
The diversity and all of the small businesses. It love that it has a big, small city feel!
-Favorite restaurant in Louisville? (or fav carry out right now?)
Sorry, but I can’t pick just one, so I will say. – Havana Rumba, Le Moo, and Grassa Gramma, for sure.
-If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Soul or spanish food, though it is not healthy, so I would have to figure something out.
-Coolest place you have ever traveled?
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – I went to the actual Copacabana Beach, saw the Jesùs Christo statue, and rode in a completely glass cable car, and more. It was amazing!
