LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 1, 2024) — Ben Donlon is the Young Professionals Association of Louisville’s new president.

Donlon is a seasoned expert in analytics and operations with over a decade of experience leading data-driven strategies to enhance organizational performance and impact. After serving as President-Elect for the past year, Donlon will serve as YPAL’s president from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.

“There is so much opportunity, not just specifically for this board and the talent that the board has, but also the legacy that has come before that we’ve built upon from several great boards and great presidents,” Donlon said. “We’ve built up to a place where we can get into making a change in the Louisville community. For this upcoming year, I’m excited to continue to operate on our strategic plan, we’re in Year 2.”



Donlon will lead YPAL as the organization pushes to continue a recent wave of momentum that includes the Voice of YP survey and Homecoming presented by Deloitte, which celebrated YPAL’s 25th anniversary.

“There are a lot of great things that have been done, as well as things to come,” Donlon said. “We’re going to go through a lot of changes in the upcoming year that are exciting that allow us to connect with the community and help the whole Louisville young professional community, not only develop and come to networking events, but also engage with the community.”

As president, Donlon will lead a 19-member board, which includes 13 people who served on the board of directors for the 2023-24 year. The incoming board is composed of young professionals representing a broad range of industries, experiences and backgrounds.

“It’s a diverse board, not only from backgrounds but also how people think,” Donlon said. “There are a ton of unique skill sets.”

Donlon holds a degree in actuarial mathematics with additional focuses in finance and computer engineering from the University of Louisville, where he also earned his Master’s in Business Administration. He has served on the boards of Louisville Alumni, Transcend Credit Union and UPIC Solutions, along with being selected to the 2022 Forty Under 40 class.

The Danville, Ky. native said the weeks around the Kentucky Derby is his favorite time of year for Louisville.
