Hi, YPAL crew!
We’ve got 100 years of Metro United Way’s work to celebrate, 100 pieces of fabric to turn into blankets for children, and the need for at least 100 of us to make it happen!
What: LINC Keeping it 100 – We can’t think of any better way to celebrate MUW’s 100th anniversary this fall than by providing kiddos with a cozy symbol of the support that we, together, have wrapped around our community for a century. These blankets will go to children in Greater Clark County Schools who do not currently have a bed of their own…but will after MUW’s Build-a-Bed project this winter. The comforters we make will be the icing on the cake, the blanket on the bed.
But you know we can’t stop with the theme there. Our very own LINCer and Maker’s Mark Distillery Diplomat Thomas Bolton has designed special 100-themed cocktails and mocktails to help us craft and celebrate. Your first one of those bad boys and apps are on us!
When: Thursday, November 16, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Where: Metro United Way, 334 E Broadway, Louisville, KY 40202. For our 100th anniversary, we want to host you here, in our home. #AllTheFeels
Why: Because – seriously, keeping it 100 – many children in our community sleep in shared beds, on couches, or on floors. They deserve a warm, comfortable place to get a good night’s rest, which supports more creativity, enhances mood, fights sickness, and positively impacts overall health. We can help make that happen!
RSVP Here! This event is FREE, but space will fill up quickly, so RSVP today!
