We’re not sure how Dr. Monalisa Tailor does it. She practices Internal Medicine at Norton Community Medical Associates by day, and by night, she is a community and advocate and educator. You may have seen Monalisa on TV this past year as a frequent guest on Mayor Fischer’s town halls, speaking about COVID-19 and spreading the word on actions we can all take to keep our community safe. Monalisa is the Immediate Past President of the Greater Louisville Medical Society,  and through this role, Monalisa created continuing medical education opportunities for GLMS membership. A recent example is a 3-part series on Racial Inequality that Monalisa developed to help make her fellow physicians better aware of the historical background of racial inequities, how to recognize our implicit biases, and how to best handle communication to minimize these inequities. Monalisa also flexes her creative muscles through her love of the arts and has served on the Board of Directors for the KMAC Museum since 2018.
