Each year on the first Saturday of November, We Survive, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 1994, sets the world aglow with LIGHTFEST Re-Ignited.

We Survive is dedicated to offering HOPE through inter-generational programs that provide education, empowerment, and inspiration to promote optimal health and wellness.  LIGHTFEST Re-ignited is a Worldwide campaign dedicated to showing HOPE and support for people living in poverty, susceptible to poverty, hunger and homelessness. When approaching the topic of poverty, we see and hear the feelings of hopelessness. Collective hopelessness is not acceptable.

In Louisville, on November 5, 2016 a LIGHTFEST Station will be held from 4:30-6:30pm. This event will provide fun, interactive, and educational activities.

We are looking for volunteers to help with one of the established activities or create your own activity to share with attendees. Contact us to explore what option is best for you.

If you can’t join us at the LIGHTFEST Station, you can show your support by taking a  few minutes to shine a Light of Hope on November 5, 2016 at 6pm Eastern Time wherever you are.  It can be a candle, flash light, cell phone or turn on your porch light.

Together, we will LIGHT and UNITE to make the world a better place with this simple message of HOPE.

Another way to join We Survive’s efforts is the Portrayal of Hope. As we take the message of HOPE Around the World—We Survive asks that everyone join this journey and create a Portrayal of Hope at his or her school, workplace or organization.
