A Letter from our President

To our Advisory Council and Sponsors,

It seems as though the 2014-2015 board term is flying by! We have had a busy year thus far, with our McConnell and Grimes events in October, our YP Summit in November, and our Huber’s VIP trip to the new distillery in December, and we are excited to ring in another new year with some exciting events underway.

YPAL has come so far in the past 15 years since we were established, and we cannot wait to see where 2015 will take us. From attempting to stop the brain drain and convincing young professionals to stay in Louisville, we have worked nonstop since 1999 to connect, develop, and engage over 850 members in the Louisville community.

A lot of things have changed since the 90s though, and we are excited to announce that we have officially moved office spaces! We are now located in the GLI building on Main Street, and we could not be happier with our new, spacious workplace.

We have also been working to make sure young professionals in Kentuckiana are striving to live healthier lifestyles. This fall, we introduced the YPAL Healthcare Blog Series, which has covered everything from ballroom dancing, to healthy cocktails, and making healthy living a priority. Don’t forget to check out the blog series on YPAL.org, along with some health tips from Norton Healthcare.

As always, the YPAL Board of Directors and I appreciate your support and dedication to our organization’s mission and values. We would not have been able to make it 15 years without such devoted and enthusiastic members, and we look forward to a new year full of fresh and fun events.

Happy holidays to you and yours,

Jean Lee
President, Young Professionals Association of Louisville
