Louisville, KY (March 10, 2016)  — The Young Professionals Association of Louisville (YPAL) will launch a new initiative for our servicemen and women in partnership with Northwestern Mutual and Where Opportunity Knox. YPAL is committed to making the Louisville community an inclusive environment for veterans and active military personal. YPAL is advancing its efforts to support the transition for young military professionals back into civilian life. As a way to engage veterans and active duty service members, YPAL would like to offer those individuals:

  • One year free YPAL membership;
  • One free ticket to a YPAL Quarterly Lunch;
  • One free ticket to the YP Unite Summit, to be held in November 2016; and
  • Additional free events associated with YPAL membership including Connect, Engage, and Develop Series events.

“YPAL, Where Opportunity Knox and Northwestern Mutual, share a common objective:  Helping people realize their true potential.  This partnership will enable our military and civilian young professionals to reach that potential by creating an atmosphere of growth and development.” says Chris Brice, Chief Development Office at Northwestern Mutual and YPAL Advisory Board Member.

According to Ann Reiter, Regional Veteran Connector for Where Opportunity Knox, “We are pleased to partner with YPAL and Northwestern Mutual for this exciting opportunity for our transitioning Veterans. Participation in YPAL and its ongoing programs are a perfect way for Veterans to build their post-military professional networks.”

YPAL is confident this program will be a great advantage for veterans and active duty military as they further engage themselves in the business community.
