LOUISVILLE, Ky. (July 18, 2024) – Young Professionals Association of Louisville (YPAL) is in search of an executive director to support the organization’s mission and goals.

After three years of serving as YPAL’s executive director, Cassidy Hyde is no longer with the organization. During her tenure, YPAL saw unprecedented growth–surpassing 1,250 members, launched the Voice of YP survey focusing on economic development and organized YPAL’s 25th Anniversary celebration and inaugural homecoming event presented by Deloitte.

The nonprofit is in the midst of a three-year strategic plan that is re-envisioning how the organization enhances Louisville through community connection, professional development and engagement of young professionals throughout the area. Celebrating its 25th year, YPAL has elevated itself as an organization that supports the ascension of Louisville’s young professionals with the values of community, diversity and inclusion, integrity, service and growth.

YPAL plays an integral role in Louisville for its 1,250+ members, alumni and broader community with a focus on being a bold voice for young professionals, supporting talent attraction and retention, creating welcoming spaces and convening wider audiences with the shared mission of building a better Louisville.

In the interim, Ben Donlon, who stepped into the president role on July 1, will assume the responsibilities of the executive director, ensuring continuity in leadership, stewardship of YPAL’s sponsors and partners, and ongoing projects.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to YPAL’s mission to be a vital resource for young professionals in Louisville,” said Donlon. “As we embark on this transition, we are confident that the organization is well-positioned to continue its impactful work and continue to significantly impact the lives young professionals in Louisville.”

The executive director has primary responsibility for planning, developing and directing fundraising to support the mission and goals of YPAL and all activities associated with fundraising. The executive director is also responsible for the evaluation and reporting of progress on fundraising plans and implementing those plans in conjunction with the president and board of directors.
