Louisville, KY – Chicago can be a pretty dreamy place, especially for young professionals. But the Young Professionals Association of Louisville (YPAL), in conjunction with several other young professional organizations across the region, want their peers to know that they don’t have to go to the Windy City, the Big Apple or uber-trendy Austin to excel in a career; it can happen right here.

That’s why the groups are teaming together to host the first YP Unite Summit, a gathering of young professional groups and individuals from the Ohio Valley Region who will share best practices and tips for leadership development. The Summit, scheduled for Friday, Nov. 14 through Saturday, Nov. 15 in Louisville, Ky., is presented by PNC and is open to all young professionals.

“We’re excited to be working with groups similar to ours in the region to provide next generation leaders with an opportunity to connect, build relationships and share best practices,” said Ann Marie Kelly, YPAL’s Executive Director. “The YP Unite Summit will leave participants with tangible plans for success from some of the region’s most influential political, business and civic leaders.”

The event kicks off 6:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14 with networking, cocktails and night racing at Churchill Downs. While event organizers are still confirming details for Saturday’s events, attendees can expect to meet at Stites & Harbison, PLLC in downtown Louisville from 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m. for group discussions, networking and a presentation from keynote speaker and Brown-Forman Chief Entertaining Officer Tim Laird. Laird, who has more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, will join others in sharing of best practices, experiences and life-lessons.
Tickets are $40 for both days of the YP Unite Summit, or $30 for Saturday only. Tickets can be purchased online at ypunitesummit.org.

The YP Unite Summit is presented by PNC and is also sponsored by Mountjoy Chilton Medley LLP, the Kentucky Farm Bureau, University of Louisville College of Business, and Stites & Harbison.
