Tell us about your involvement with YPAL. When did you join and what leadership roles did you hold?
In 2008, I was an active member of the Community Outreach Committee. I was then involved with the Diversity Committee Chair from 2008 to 2009. I became President Elect in 2009, and then served as President in the 2010-2011 term. Then I was Immediate Past President from 2011 to 2012.
What made you want to get involved as a young professional? Why did you ultimately choose YPAL?
I was looking for a way to better connect during the Great Recession.
How long have you lived in Louisville?
I have lived here 13 years.
What’s your favorite thing to do in Louisville? Be as specific or vague as you want.
Spending time with my family.
What is your favorite YPAL memory? Is there a certain event YPAL throws that you never miss?
Raising the funds to and building the YPAL Green Habitat House.
What are your favorite hobbies?
Watching the University of Michigan sports teams and traveling.
Favorite place you have ever traveled.
Italy – Rome and Venice when oversees and the Pacific Northwest in the US – Seattle and Portland
What’s a fun fact about you? Or what’s something not many people know about you?
I am a huge sneaker fan. My wife loves to mock me for having more shoes than her, but I just love Air Jordans…both classic designs (like the III, IV and V) and newer models that are specifically designed to connect with my passion – The University of Michigan
