YPAL is excited to announce our 2023 YPAL Award Winners! Meet Ancia Ifill. Ancia was nominated by peers for connecting, engaging, and developing in our community and was recognized among more than 265 nominees.
Ancia Ifill was born in Barbados and currently serves as the Associate Director of Academic Services at the University of Louisville Athletic Association and a Ph.D. student researching international student-athlete experiences. A former international student-athlete she actively seeks opportunities to connect international professionals and students to the amazing people and attractions in Louisville through diversity, equity and inclusion.
Her inclusion efforts for international student-athletes have been nationally recognized and will assist future international students with their transition. Ancia enjoys spending her time volunteering with the YMCA and is a member of the Louisville Foreign Relations Committee and Louisville Cricket Club. She believes in showing up as her authentic self which drives her passion of pouring into others.
