YPAL is proud to announce our 2024 YPAL Award Winners! Meet Annette Dangerfield. Annette was nominated by peers for connecting, engaging and developing in our community and was recognized among more than 200 nominees.

Annette is a Kentucky native who grew up in south central Kentucky. She attended Berea College for her undergraduate degree in Sustainable Community Development and then moved to Louisville in 2019 after a year in Ireland completing her Master’s degree in human geography. Since 2019, she has worked for Louisville Metro Government in various capacities, including at Jefferson Memorial Forest, for the Office of Performance Improvement, and currently as a project manager for the Office of Philanthropy in the Mayor’s Office.

 

Her most recent work has focused on an initiative to expand access to early childhood education in Jefferson County. She has been a member of YPAL since 2020, graduated from the Emerging Leaders Program in 2023, is a graduate of the New Leaders Council 2024 cohort, and is on the Programming Committee for the Passionist Earth and Spirit Center. She enjoys travel, pottery, home improvement projects, spending time with her partner and three cats, and recreating Great British Baking Show recipes to be gluten free.
